Programs
• Individual registration only.
• Practices take place during the week between 5-8:30 p.m.
• Registration fee includes uniforms, officials, scorekeepers and gym time for games and practices.
• Leagues are instructional and designed for beginners.
• Players are placed on teams by the park district based on school attended.
• Playing time requirements are enforced.
• Each grade will be a separate league; however, grades may be combined if needed.
• Game/Practice dates subject to change due to facility availability.

Recreational Team Formation Details:
The APD forms its recreational teams from individual registrations only. Individual registration is the best way for us to keep the integrity of a recreational league.
• A player request is NOT guaranteed.
• We DO NOT accept team registrations or coach requests.
• All APD leagues have a maximum number of players per team. (8 volleyball players, 10 basketball players). There are no exceptions to ensure minimum playing requirements are maintained.
• New teams are formed each year and based on the volunteer coaches and players registered.
• When the number of players from a specific school exceeds the maximum number of spots on a team, we split the players as evenly as possible.
Registration Deadline: November 4 (leagues may fill before deadline)
Note:
Practice Starts: Week of November 30
Games Start: Weekend of December 11
Season Ends: February 6
Practices:
- The coach will pick a practice schedule at the coaches meeting. Coaches meetings are scheduled to take place the week of November 16th.
- Players will be contacted by their coach a few days before their 1st practice.
Games:
- Games take place on Fridays, Saturdays &/or Sundays at the Anderson Parks RecPlex; subject to change due to gym availability.
- Season includes seven games and eight practices.
- Uniforms are provided & are passed out at the first game.
